By end of the first quarter of 2020, almost one-third of the world population was in some kind of isolation because of the pandemic. The impact has been profound on individuals, families, organizations, industries, govt. bodies, countries, and so on so forth.
People have seen their loved ones getting infected, recovering from illness, and even losing their loved ones. While these were some of the serious concerns, towards the end of the second quarter of 2020 the concerns have shifted towards children’s future, sustainability, etc. which is mainly the profound impact of COVID-19 on the businesses and economy. So many people have lost their job so far and many are worried about their sustainability etc.
However, despite the uncertain employment outlook, there is a silver lining for those who are willing to leverage the opportunity. While full-time positions dwindle, contract staffing is picking up as the organizations still need to get the work done and are beginning to get a better sense of what a remote, on-demand workforce can accomplish.
So the future won’t be normal so early and to create sustainability it is better to broaden the horizon and strengthen the employment opportunity by re-skilling, up-skilling, and/or adding new skills and credentials.
